IBM to open source Cloudscape database

I’m not sure that I was aware of IBM buying Informix, or of Informix buying Cloudscape. But, those two things had happened and now [Cloudscape is becoming open source][1], under an Apache-style license. Cloudscape is an embedded, transactional, Java database.
