Jakob Nielsen says: “To discover which designs work best, watch users as they attempt to perform tasks with the user interface. This method is so simple that many people overlook it, assuming that there must be something more to usability testing.” Another interesting article from Jakob. Of course, when you’re doing custom design and software it can sometimes be difficult to not listen to your users, since they’re paying for the work.
Many customers are paying for your expert opinion, but still want to do things their way.
